Chick-ens

We are so busy !!! Today I decided to introduce the Chicks (5-6 weeks old) to the Laying Hens in the coop.  I put down one White Leghorn and one Dominique and they absolutly froze....and the Hens all froze too!  Everyone just looked at eachother wondering something of unfamilar thoughts Im sure.  All of them looked as if they were not sure if they should greet eachother or RUN !  The Laying White Leghorn Hens seemed okay but Ms. Pepper the Grey Hen puffed up all her feathers and look upset with me, like I had done something wrong.  Well then the Red Hen known as Lucy now by child #3 started pecking little Dominque and this momma was not going to have it.  So I grabbed little Chicks up and out we went.  I did put them in a small run on the outside though so they could all see eachother.   I did not have my camera but should have taken photo of everyone so still.  We will see where this leads us !

Here today, still here tomorrow.

 Billy

We tried to sell "Billy" .  He was way too loud for the lady !  Also would not take to the bottle for her.  Lets say I was more than just displeased.  Is that a word? Not sure but sounds good!  Anyhow  she only gave it like..... 3 hours.  Oh well the smile on my 7 year olds face was precious the next morning when he realized that he had come home.  It was a secretive, sneaky smile that said "now can we just keep him?"  Uuummmm....NO.  Sorry , still has to go.  We love playing with the kids so much each day that we can.  They are so much fun.  The boys played the other day in the beauty of the sun and the kids were all racing each other through the yard.  Love days like that when we are all in harmony with each other.  Today has not been harmony.  Hubby thought it was better to walk together last night to put goats back in barn, so I waited for him.  But, he was ready after dark.  Fiona decided to lead our small heard under the fence for grass and dinner that we had not brought yet....looks like goats can tell time.  No more late nights for them.  Well today I put them out in field and sure enough Fiona has to lead them under two times before she has taught me a good lesson in catching goats!  Knee's a little dirty today.....oh well.  After making a structure to block them all was well again.  Well....for today :)

HC Farms First Baby ! Its a Girl !!!

Name Unknown yet !!!

Our first farm baby has been born.  Wednesday @ 1 in the afternoon.  I had put the girls out to graze and had hoped to get them back in before it started raining but sure enough I had to get my own little ones down for nap and the rain had started !  I went out and instead of just two goats in the Field there was three.  I did freak a little and so did momma goat.  See she is the mom of the soon to momma white goat(Lainy).  And Lainy ran to the barn to get out of rain and left her mom,Fiona.  Well Fiona got upset and ran after her...so I grabbed baby with towel to get her in out of chilly weather.  Then Fiona remembers new baby and runs back to Field.  All the while I'm holding baby and chasing momma three times from barn to field.  Finally Baby makes noise in my arms and Fiona chills out and I get all three into stall.  Forgive the photo's  , my camera does not take good inside pictures.  So least to say I'm keeping whole family up today hoping that Lainy is due to kid anytime now too and we will have an easier go with stress.
Side note :  I'm not sure if Goats are supposed to run after giving birth (I know I would not or could not) but clearly the Goat is in better shape than me !  I could hardly breath to tell Jacob there was a baby.  I think he was more worried about me !

Funny Friday : Only a 2 year old !!!

Wow it has been a busy week... I thought I would post twice a week but other than really my glances at FB when I need to check something I am never on my computer.  New schedule has me a little tired this week.  Before Goats I was pretty lazy in the a.m.  Getting up anytime Nathan woke up as long as it was no later than like 7:15.  Bare minimum to get boys going for school since we leave at 7:50.  I decided to get Nathan into his crib this week and that has gone great, he loves to sleep.  Still getting up once a night but that is fine with me till he gets bigger.  So getting up at 6 now to get ready and feed goats (and see if they had kids overnight) and then get boys going for school.  Amazing how hard it is to get out of bed but then 5 minutes of being awake im am on with my day!  Anyhow...keeping up with four boys and cleaning and getting used to Goats has been the priority this week.  This is pic of their first day on the job !!!  Honeysuckle cleanup crew.
A few days ago I told Isaac that during spring break this year I promise to get him to a Zoo.  He has been asking for awhile now.  Well this morning we were talking about Zoo's again and I said I bet there is a White Tiger at this Zoo.  Tigers were the convo this a.m. bc we ate frosted flakes and we have a Tony Tiger plush.  Anywhooo.... Izzy goes on to tell me that when we are done with the White Tiger Zoo can we  go to the Orange Tiger Zoo because he wants to see Orange Tigers !!!  Then a few minutes later he says "Mommy, you like Purple".  Yes I say and then he asks if we can go to the Purple Zoo !!!  I am going to have to break the news to him about colors...I guess I dont get him out much....ooops.

New Year...New things !

Wow...has it really been since August since my last post?  We moved September 8th !  WE LOVE THIS HOUSE !!!  God put me here oh so gently and I am loving it all!  What a blessing for my kids to get to know their Grandmother more even though she drives me crazy which all moms do I think at some point ! LOL !  She is so good to the boys (well that is what they say)  I disagree with the M&M's and potato chips all the time but hey...Some day I will do that to my grandkids im sure!
So a quick catch up on Capozella's !!!  We added Nathan Joseph Capozella on Nov. 18th.  He came into this world ready and speedy and we have loved every minute of having this sweet boy in our lives !
Other than Nathan all our other new things had previous owners !  Kinda like the yard sale ads you see in papers...Used items but New to you !  Joe along with Mr. Honeycutt added a 1964 Ferguson Red Tractor and now has become Joe's 2nd love !!!  Even if the tractor is not needed he has started it up and taken a ride once a week since it came in September!  Other item was my "Trash Truck".  Got a great deal on a large cab truck that actually fits all 6 of us and I use it for Trash each week!  Love my truck !
This week we added our first Farm animal!  Thank you http://www.teufelhudenfarm.com/ for our new "Girls" or rather I say "Momma's".  We bought 2 Does that have been bred from my sweet freind.  I was so excited that this fit for us right now because my friend has 3 kids and dogs and cats and the goats would be used to the action around here !  They are doing great and we are loving our new animals.  Although Jacob tells me we are not a farm yet until we have another animal that is different.  Hummm....will have to work on that.
Okay so as far as the Post please check in on Fridays.  Im going to do my Funny Fridays and boy do I have funnies to share.  Living with these 4 children and an amazing husband brings funnies all the time and some I want to share...(others we will keep to ourselves..especially if they involve me !) LOL ! Enjoy pictures !

Its August !!! Projected Move in Month !!!!

We have a Patio now !

Joe checking out Microwave!

Boys on LARGE tractor at fair
What amazing times for the kids.  Summer Break has been filled with Capozella family time making unforgetable memories at water gun play, Beach time with Honeycutt's splashing in waves and even a West Va. road trip just  me and the kids.  We had the best time! Lots of swimming this summer and visiting friends from the Lake where we moved from, since the boys do not have too many friends here in the county yet.  School starts in two weeks and I can't believe Im a mom of a K and 1st.  Where has the time gone? Im sure we all can say that, time moves on so fast in an adults world whether your in times of trials or blessings.  I was thinking Sunday that the time moves so fast and so much energy to take care of such a young family that the chaos to it all is what keeps us all put together and headed towards our goals.  I know that with three small boys and one baby on the way chaos is all around me and has moved in for a long time!  That is good news then !!!
The kitchen is coming together and all the small things are being placed.  Questions like where do I want the towel rack?  I wish I had a personal assistant that could just make 100 % sound choices without my imput.  Im so easy to please with this house its hard to answer those questions.  Well Chaos moves all around (J,E &I) and I keep moving forward with them , the house is going to serve an amazing purpose for this family and I can't wait to move in.  Thank you to all who read this and keep up, enjoy your week.

Moving right along !

I am so excited in seeing this House come all together.  The heat is on here in Va but the workers just keep going.  We walk through the house atleast every other day.  It can almost look the same and I still just love standing there looking at this amazing home we are about to fill up !  I can't wait to have the space and property to make our home.  Painting has been done and we are looking forward to seeing the kitchen come together in the next week!
Back of the house, going to add patio soon.

Kitchen coming together !

Boys Room ! (They wanted color :))

Love the light in our bathroom.
